- Description
- Offeror shall provide all services, personnel, material, audio-visual aids, training aids, and, travel and lodging necessary to revise/update and present a course of instruction entitled Architectural Hardware: Quality Verification. This requirement i s firm fixed price with a base year and two option years. This solicitation DACW87-02-Q-0006 is scheduled to be released as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) on or about 21 Dec 01. The NAICS code is 611430 and the FSC code is U009. This acquisition is 100 p ercent set aside for small business. Small business size standard is $5M. For the purposes of this solicitation any concern whose gross annual receipts over the past 3 years does not exceed $5,000,000 is considered a small business. The details of this c ourse are as follows: This course develops new skills oriented to the quality verification of hardware used in building construction and updates the student's knowledge of current industry practices and changes in specifications. It also provides trainin g results in a more effective quality assurance. The course presents the fundamentals of the industry including hardware materials and finishestheir purpose, use and application; basic information covering all architectural hardware products, term inology, and types of doors and frames; and the fundamentals of hardware schedules, preparation, and use. Emphasis is placed on how to interpret a hardware schedule for installation purposes and field use, as well as an analysis of a hardware schedule sub mitted to the designer for approval. The class length is 36 hours and there are 60 students per course session. Dates are as follows: Base Year: Session 02-01, 10-14 Jun 02, Sacramento, CA; Option Year FY03: Session 03-01, 9-13 Jun 03, Virginia Beach, VA; Option Year FY 04, Session 04-01, 14-18 Jun 02, Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX. To be considered eligible for award the successful contractor must be registered with the DOD Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov) and provide a DUNS number which m ay be obtained through information at www.dnb.com or by calling 800-234-3867. Offeror should provide their tax identification number, DUNS number, CAGE code, street address, telephone number, and a point of contact with their proposal. This is NOT a req uest for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation (RFQ DACW87-02-Q-0005) will be issued on or about 21 December 2001. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be available, to all interested parties, for viewing and downloading/obtaining from the Internet website at http://www.hnd.usace.army.mil/EBS/ASP/AdvertisedSolicitations.asp on or about 21 Dec 01.
