Description
Offeror shall provide all services, personnel, material, audio-visual aids, training aids, and, travel and lodging necessary to revise/update and present two courses of instruction entitled Cultural Resources and Environmental Impact Assessment. This requirement is firm fixed price with a base year and two option years. This solicitation DACW87-02-Q-0005 is scheduled to be released as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) on or about 21 Dec 01. The NAICS code is 611430 and the FSC code is U009. This acquisi tion is 100 percent set aside for small business. Small business size standard is $5M. For the purposes of this solicitation any concern whose gross annual receipts over the past 3 years does not exceed $5,000,000 is considered a small business. The deta ils of this course aware as follows: Cultural Resources: Identification, Analysis and Evaluation -- This course provides students with a broad-based understanding of the character and quality of cultural resources as well as a working knowledge of the ide ntification and assessment procedures applied to those resources affected by a proposed undertaking. The course is designed for planners, environmental resources managers, study managers, project managers, and others who will participate in the assessment and management of cultural resources. The class length for Cultural Resources 36 hours and the location is Santa Fe, New Mexico. Dates and number of students for each year are as follows: Base Year: Number of Students 32; Dates: Session 02-01, 6-1 0 May 02; Session 02-02, 13-17 May 02, Session 02-03, 3-7 Jun 02; Session 02-04, 10-14 Jun 02: Option Year FY03 number of students is 30; Dates: Session 03-01, 12-16 May 03; Session 03-02, 19-23 May 03; Session 03-03, 9-13 Jun 03. Number of students for FY04 Option Year is 30. Dates are as follows: Session 04-01, 10-14 May 04; Session 04-02, 17-21 May 04; Session 04-03, 7-11 Jun 04. The details for the Environmental Impact Assessment of Projects course are as follows: This course provides the student with a working knowledge of the environmental impact assessment process and the procedures to follow in preparing an environmental impact statement (EIS) and other types of environmental impact assessment documents. This course will comprise of thorough a nd consistent instruction for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers environmental planners in water resources' studies. Environmental Impact Assessment of Projects course length is 36 hours and number of students is 35. Dates and locations for the base year a re as follows: Session 02-01, 29 Apr -- 3 May 02, Huntsville, AL; Session 02-02, 24-28 Jun 02, Nashville, TN. Dates and locations for Option Year FY03 are as follows: Session 03-01, 17-21 Mar 03, Huntsville, AL; Session 03-02, 9-13 Jun 03, Dallas/Ft. Wor th, TX. Dates and locations for Option Year FY04 are as follows: Session 04-01, 22-26 Mar 04, Huntsville, AL; Session 04-02, 17-21 May 04, Denver, CO. To be considered eligible for award the successful contractor must be registered with the DOD Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov) and provide a DUNS number which may be obtained through information at www.dnb.com or by calling 800-234-3867.
