Reaquest for Quotation No. MDA41401-T-3557 is amended to clarify item description. CLIN 0001 -- Literature Big Books, Communities Adventures in Time and Place, Grade 3, Pupil Edition, Social Studies. Set of five books: "A Year in the City" by Kathy Henderson; "The Story of the Milky Way: A Cherokee Tale" by Joseph Bruchac, et. al.; "City Green" by Dyanne Disalvo-Ryan; "A Fourth of July on the Plains" by Jean Van Leeuwen; "Jalapeno Bagels" by Natasha Wing and Robert Casilla. The minimum dimensions for the books are 17 inches by 14 inches. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart=20 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation;quotations are being requested and a written solicitation willnot be issued. This Solicitation Number, MDA 414 01T3557, is issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those=20 in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular #97-27, effective 6/25/2001. The Standard Industrial classification (SIC) code for this acquisition is 8999. The small business size standard is 500. List of contract line item numbers: CLIN 0001 -Communities Adventures in Time and Place,ISBN 0-02-148035-4. This is a set of five books titled: "A Year in the City," "The Story of the Milky Way," "City Green," "A Fourth of July on the Plains," and "Jalapeno Bagels." One or more of 534 sets are required to be delivered to 142 elementary school destinations, domestic and abroad (APO addresses), with acceptance FOB destination within 30 to 60 days after receipt of award. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial (Oct 95) is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items (Oct 95) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror who's offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: price and past performance. Offers shall include a complete copy of the provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its quotation. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition and resulting contract.
