Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Solicitation Number MDA41401Q0002, is issued as a Request For Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27, Final Rule effected 6/25/2001. The Standard Classification (SIC) code for this acquisition is 2731. The small business size standard is 500. List of contract line items numbers: CLIN 0001 -- My World Big Book, Grade 1 595 each going to 111 destinations, domestic and abroad and CLIN 0002 People Together Big Book, Grade 2, 577 each going to 120 destinations, domestic and abroad. Delivery period is 30 days after award of contract. FAR 52.247-29 FOB Origin applies. FAR 52-212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial (Oct 95) is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition. Offers shall include a complete copy of the provision 52-212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its quotation. FAR 52-212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition and resulting contract. The following terms and conditions are added as an addendum to this clause: Type of Contract: The resulting contract shall be firm-fixed price. The proposed procurement will be conducted under the Simplified Acquisition procedures (SAT) for other than maximum competition and is being conducted in accordance with FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. FAR 52-212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Status of Executive Orders -- Commercial Items (Aug 2000) is incorporated in this RFQ by reference. FAR 252-204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration (Mar 2000) (www.ccr2000.com or 1-888-352-9333) are incorporated by reference in this RFQ. DPAS rating is C9E. CBD numbered note: 22.
