Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and FAR 13.1 and FAR 13.5. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Air Armament Center, has a requirement to solicit, negotiate and award a Firm-Firm-Fixed-Price contract, under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items for Reader Boards. The requirement is for two each double-sided outdoor information display system, multi-color (4 signs) to replace existing signs. This is a contemplated requirement and FAR clause 52.232-18, Subject to Availability of Funds applies. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 339950 and the size standard is 500 employees. OPTIONAL: A site visit will be scheduled for the 29th of August 01. Notify the POC of contracting if you are interested. The requirements must be in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). SCOPE: The work under this contract consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment required to replace existing outdoor Reader Boards at Eglin AFB, Florida and provide a complete and useable product. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Two each double-sided outdoor information display systems, Multi-Color (4 signs) to replace existing signs. Signs shall be installed and useable with existing facilities and approximately 10 Feet x 4 Feet 6 Inches. The signs minimally shall include the following features and capability: a) Bronze anodized weatherproof welded aluminum cabinets and front serviceable. b) Full matrix graphics capability. c) On-site or remote programming. Each separately programmable or combined programmable. d) Modular hardware. e) Energy efficient. f) Ultra bright LEDs. g) High resolution tile. h) Wide viewing angle. i) Information storage. j) LED Pixels with minimum life expectancy of 10 years. k) Time and temperature display. l) Traveling text. m) Real time animation. n) Graphics/animation software. o) Full editing capabilities. p) Library of stock graphic animations. q) Remote or on-site programming. r) User friendly menu and icon-based software. s) Menu guided control of all software features. t) 100% repair and maintenance warranty for one year. u) Training for a minimum of 4 technicians and public affairs personnel: training to include minimally full system function, programming, troubleshooting, and repair of installed equipment. Public affairs personnel require programming training only. v) Master control station. w) Surge suppression, electric and telephone. x) Capability of 1, 2 or 4 eight inch line of text. The contractor shall submit a quotation at the time of bidding to include but not limited to, hardware, software, shop-drawing for the approval. LOCATION: The site of the work is located at the Main Base Eglin AFB, FL. The Period of Performance shall be 90 days. CONTRACTUAL SERVICES: The work under this contract consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment required to replace existing outdoor Reader Boards at Eglin AFB, Florida and provide a complete and useable product. The Zip file consisting of five pictures has been uploaded to show the work site where the new Reader Boards will be installed.
