- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Air Armament Center, Eglin AFB, FL, intends to solicit, request for proposal/quote, and award a Firm-Fixed Price contract under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, for Fourteen (14) 2-liter per second Ion Vacuum Pumps as components of resistor array scene Projection Emitter Modules (PEMs). The PEMs will support hardware-in-the-loop evaluation of weapon seekers at the Kinetic Kill Vehicle Hardware-in-the-Loop (KHILS) and similar Government facilities. These Ion Pumps must be form fit and functionally compatible with the existing PEM design to ensure proper operation and opto/mechanical clearances in the infrared scene projector system. The pumps shall not exceed 3.6 inches in height, 3.6 inches in width, and 5.3 inches in length. The vacuum connection shall be a three quarters of an inch conflat fitting (CFF) oriented at 180 degrees to the pump controllers electrical connector which shall be remotely connected by a 10-foot cable. This requirement is for Full and Open Competition using the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 333912, with a small business size standard of 500.
