Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) is soliciting for a portable dehumidifier assembly of the solid desiccant, noncycling sorption type, with a one piece (monolithic) desiccant wheel, and shall include a desiccant wheel drive system, processing fan, desiccant reactivation heater and fan, and an electrical control panel; all skid mounted within a rigid structural frame. The skid base and framework shall not exceed 10 ft wide x 15 ft long x 10 ft high and weigh no more than 10,000 lbs. The desiccant shall have a service life of 20,000 hours (minimum) without replenishment or replacement. The dehumidifier shall be capable of maintaining a conditioned airflow over the entire range of 4,500 to 9,000 SCFM (minimum). The minimum moisture removal rate at 9,000 SCFM shall be 225 pounds per hour at 70 degrees F and 50% relative humidity.=20 Place of delivery is Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA. Delivery desired by 7 Sep 01. =20 The unrestricted commercial solicitation will be issued on or about 12 Jul 01 with a closing date of 26 Jul 01. Per FAR 5.203(h), the solicitation closing date has been reduced to 21 days from this announcement.=20 When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link www.neco.navy.mil. All offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to jennifer_e_santiago@puget.fisc.navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ / amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFQ and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your quote nonresponsive and result in rejection of the same. To be procured using commercial Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12. =20 After an initial evaluation of proposals, FISC Puget Sound intends to conduct an online, anonymous, competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by a third-party reverse auction provider (www.govauctions.procuri.com). The government reserves the right to award on initial offers as submitted. This is a private reverse auction and only those offerors deemed technically capable of providing the items stated will be invited to participate in the online reverse auction. In order to establish a competitive range, offerors are required to submit initial pricing and technical literature prior to the closing date of the Request for Quotation (RFQ). Offerors are also requested to register at www.govauctions.procuri.com prior to the closing date of the solicitation. Submission of a quote in response to the RFQ is considered consent by the offeror to reveal their prices in anonymity during the reverse auction. For first time users, after determining that you are in the competitive range, training will be given to you by Procuri prior to the start of the reverse auction. No notes apply.
