Description

Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to Install Sheet Pile Seawall at Building 700, Eglin AFB FL. This acquisition is unrestricted. This is a (Performance Price Trade Off) acquisition. Award will be made based upon the (Best Value) to the government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest price offeror. This project includes furnishing all labor, equipment and materials to Install Sheet Pile Seawall at Building 700. In general the work will consist of the installation of a vinyl sheet pile sea wall at Building 700. Construction consists of removal of an existing sea wall cap, the installation of a vinyl sea wall, and the installation of a concrete cap. The existing facility will be occupied during construction. The area of work will be vacated for the duration of construction. There shall be no interruption of utility services without prior notification. The contractor shall not impair existing fire systems. When required the contractor shall provide temporary but equivalent systems. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment complete in accordance with the plans and specifications. No alternative bid items exist for this project. Performance period is 105 calendar days. Estimated dollar range is between $100,000 and $250,000. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The ESTIMATED proposal due date is 20 Aug 2001. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued, but the (RFQ) will be available at the Federal Governments Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov). No response to this notice is necessary, and no Source List will be maintained. See Note 26.
