Description

Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to Install Smoke Detectors, Building 351, Eglin AFB FL. This project includes furnishing all labor, equipment and materials to accomplish the installation of new heat detectors on all 6 floors of building 351, Eglin AFB FL. This will include additional zone cards and programming the system to accommodate the additional heat detectors. The proposed contract is set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. Offers from other than HUBZone small business concerns will not be considered. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 235310 with a size standard of $11.5M. THIS IS A TRADE OFF (PERFORMANCE PRICE TRADE-OFF) ACQUISITION. Award will be made based upon "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The government reserves the right to award the contract to other than the lowest proposed price. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Proposal acceptance period is 60 calendar days. Performance period is 180 calendar days. Estimated dollar range is between $100,000 and $250,000. NOTE: Funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made until funds are available to make payments under contract. The government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after proposal due date, with no obligation to the offeror by the government. Proposal due date of 24 August 2001 IS ONLY AN ESTIMATED DATE. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued but the Request for Proposal will be available on the Federal Government's Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov). No response to this notice is necessary, and no Source List will be maintained. See Note 27.
