Description

Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to Repair Fire Suppression System at Site C-6, Eglin AFB FL. This acquisition is unrestricted. This is a (Performance Price Trade Off) acquisition. Award will be made based upon the (Best Value) to the government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest price offeror. This project includes furnishing all labor, equipment and materials to Repair Fire Suppression System at Site C-6. In general the work will consist of alterations to the Manual Power Shutdown System in stairwells on all 7 floors on Transmitter side of Bldg 8640. Alterations to Manual Power Shutdown System in stairwells on all 9 floors on Receiver side of Bldg 8640. Alterations to electrical power system. Removal of CO2 tank, piping, hoses, and associated electrical. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment complete in accordance with the plans and specifications. No alternative bid items exist for this project. Performance period is 280 calendar days. Estimated dollar range is between $250,000 and $500,000. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The ESTIMATED proposal due date is 31 Aug 2001. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued, but the (RFP) will be available at the Federal Governments Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov). No response to this notice is necessary, and no Source List will be maintained. See Note 26.
