Description

EPS did not show description from previous synopsis posted = 24May01. Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to Replace Emergency Generator = Building 9963. THIS IS A "TRADE-OFF" (PERFORMANCE PRICE TRADE-OFF) = ACQUISITION. Award will be made based upon the "Best Value" to the = Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the = right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. = This project includes furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and = materials and performing all operations in connection with Replacing = Emergency Generator Building 9963, Eglin AFB FL. In general, the work = will consist of furnishing all materials and equipment to remove = existing emergency stand-by generator and to provide new emergency = stand-by generator with associated fuel tanks, transfer switches and = other related work. The work will consist of removing existing = generator and associated fuel tanks, lines, pumps, etc, install a = diesel powered stand-by generator with automatic transfer to provide = power to Site D-3 in the event of power failure. The work will include = two (2) vault type concrete encased above ground fuel storage tanks = with all necessary fuel piping and accessories. The above general = description of work does not in any was limit the responsibility of the = contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and = equipment complete in accordance with the plans and specifications. = The work is located at Eglin AFB FL, Site D-3, Cape San Blas. = Proposal due date of 23 July 2001 IS ONLY AN ESTIMATED DATE. Estimated = dollar range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Performance period is = 300 calendar days. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, = which shall be considered by the agency. This is a paperless = acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued but = the Request for Proposal will be available on the Federal Government's = Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov). No response to this notice is = necessary, and no Source List will be maintained. See Note 26. =20
