Description
Description: Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to replace the electrical distribution at Eglin's Trailer Park, Eglin AFB FL. The work will consist of Reworking or Replacing the Underground Primary and Secondary Distribution, Installing Lighting Standards, Meter Pedestals, Sectionalizing Cabinets and SF Six Vacuum Interrupter Switches, Pad Mount Transformers, Direct Burial PVC Conduits, Directional Bore Under Streets, Trenching, Backfilling and Associated Material and Equipment. Prospective contractors are expected to attend the official site visit and verify all conditions and dimensions. The exact time and place of the site visit will be listed in Section L of the Solicitation. "THIS IS A TRADE OFF" (PERFORMANCE PRICE TRADE-OFF) ACQUISITION. Award will be made based upon "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.101. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the Agency. No FAXED copies of this proposal will be accepted, handcarried proposals shall be delivered to Building 350, Room 541, 205 West D Avenue, Eglin AFB FL. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials complete in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Proposal due date of 24 Jul 01 IS AN ESTIMATED DATE. The estimated dollar range is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The bid acceptance period is 30 calendar days. Performance period is 300 calendar days. No response to this notice is necessary and no source list shall be maintained. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED, BUT THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT'S ELECTRONIC POSTING SYSTEM (www.eps.gov), See Note 26.
