Description

Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to Replace Runway Approach Structures, Eglin AFB FL. THIS IS A "TRADE-OFF" (PERFORMANCE PRICE TRADE-OFF) ACQUISITION. Award will be made based upon the "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.101. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. This project includes furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials in connection with the work consisting of the following: Replacing existing wooden approach lighting structures with new low-impact-resistant towers and relocating existing lighting fixtures, strobe lights to new towers. Install new controls and install underground conduit, wiring, etc. The location of the work is Eglin AFB FL. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials and equipment complete in accordance with the plans and specifications. Performance period is 180 calendar days. Estimated dollar range is between $250,000 and $500,000. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The proposal due date 11 JUN 01, IS ONLY AN ESTIMATED DATE. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued but the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on the Federal Government's Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov). No response to this notice is necessary and no Source List will be maintained. See Note 26.. Hand delivered Proposals should be delivered to Bldg 350, Room 541, Eglin AFB FL.
