Description

Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to Renovate Building 3053 for Gym and Training. THIS IS A "TRADE-OFF" (PERFORMANCE PRICE TRADE-OFF) ACQUISITION. Award will be made based upon the "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.101. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. This project includes furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials and performing all operations to Replace HVAC Systems at Building 22, Eglin AFB FL. In general, the work will consist of furnishing all materials and equipment to remove the existing air conditioning systems and replacing with new VAV system, installing new piping to supply water from central chilled water plant, installing new boiler, installing new direct digital control system and all the associated piping. The complete building lighting will be upgraded and associated wiring updates to support the mechanical upgrades. The work will be phased and will require asbestos removal. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment complete in accordance with the plans and specifications. The work is located on the main base area of Eglin AFB FL. Proposal due date of 1 MAY 2001 IS ONLY AN ESTIMATED DATE. Estimated dollar range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Performance period is 270 calendar days. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued but the Request for Proposal will be available on the Federal Government's Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov). No response to this notice is necessary, and no Source List will be maintained. See Note 26.
