Description

This is a Request for Comments for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing_s (BEP) draft specification for Sheet-fed Offset Inks to be used in the printing process of United States currency. This request does not constitute a request for proposal, invitation for bid, or request for quotation, and it is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to enter into a contract. The objective of this release is: 1. to invite prospective offerors to submit comments/information; 2. to promote competition; 3. to improve prospective offerors understanding of the Government_s requirements; and 4. to improve the Government_s knowledge of the industry_s capabilities. Prospective offerors are invited to submit comments/information on the draft specification. The draft specification in this notice constitutes all information concerning the Sheet Offset Inks that will be furnished at this time. Prospective offerors are requested to submit any comments and suggestions on the draft specification not-later-than close of business February 27, 2001.
