Scope of work includes but is not limited to furnishing all labor, material and equipment for the following: Two (2) existing elevators to be modernized. Equipment description: Stops -- 5 front, 0 rear; Rise -- 61 feet; Capacity -- 1500 pounds; Type -- passenger/Tranction; Speed -- 200 fpm. Machine Room: the following elevator equipment in the elevator Machine Room shall be replaced: hoist machine, DC hoist motor, and brake assembly; provide main line fused disconnect, car lighting disconnect, cabling and breaker from MCC; provide new surface-mounted conduit, unitary heat pump system with supplemental electric strip heat to heat and cool machine room space to protect elevator controls, provide new Machine Room lighting, new shaft lighting, and new wiring, conduit, and acessories for lighting circuits. Hoistway: the following hoistway equipment shall be cleaned, painted, aligned, tested, and reused as practicable: car and counterweight quide rails, car frame, car platform, counterweight frame, counterweight quides, counterweights, overhead and machine beams, overhead deflector sheaves, hoistway door frames, hoistway door sills. The following hoistway equipment shall be replaced: rail brackets and fastners, hoist ropes, governor rope, car and counterweight shackles, door panels, door frames, door fascia, door hanger, intelrocks and related hardware. Provide new car, safety devices, car quide shoes, governor, governor tail sheave, governor rope, cartop selector and car enclosure; DC operated heavy duty door operator and related hardware; new controls fixtures in car and at each stop; new pit buffers. Wiring: provide new conduits, raceways, and electrical wiring for Machine Room, Hoistway and Car. New emergency hoistway door shall be provided and shall be electrically interlocked to prevent elevator operations when opened. Emergency hoistway ladder shall be modified or a new ladder provided which is quarded near the elevator counterweight. All exposed metal surfaces in the hoistway, including the car frame, shall be painted. This is only a partial scope of work. You will need to request the complete quotation package. Site visit will be offered. This is a commercial item request for quotation. FAR clauses 52.212-1, 52.212-2, 52.212-3I, 52.212-4, 52.212-5, 52.212.21, 252.212-7000, 252.212-7001, 252.204-7004, 52.228-0005, and 52.232-19 apply. The contractor will be required to procure and maintain required insurance during the entire period of his performance. Wage Determination has been requested from the Dept. of Labor.
