E-MAIL: Lt Scott Hamilton, hamilton@eglin.af.mil. Eglin AFB has a requirement to Paint Two Elevated Water Tanks at Eglin AFB FL. This is a "Trade-Off" (Performance Price Trade-Off) Acquisition. Award will be made based upon the "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low proposed price. The work, in general, consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment, and performing all operations in connection with the removal of existing lead base paint and exterior painting of two elevated water storage tanks on the Main base, Eglin AFB FL. Performance period is 90 calendar days. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials complete in accordance with the specifications. Proposal closing of 18 Jun 1999 IS ONLY AN ESTIMATED DATE. Estimated dollar range is between $250,000 and $500,000. NOTE: Funds are not presently availablefor this project. No award will be made until funds are available to make payments under a contract. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after RFP closing, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government.
