The 325th Contracting Squadron at Tyndall AFB FL intends to award a purchase order pursuant to FAR 12.6 for the purchase of commercial services as indicated below. Quotes are being requested. The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, parts, equipment, materials, supplies, services, applicable test, personnel, transportation, supervision and other items necessary to overhaul and repair Air Force Vessel MR-65-2110 for Tyndall AFB FL. Work shall include Contractor shall furnish all plant, equipment, labor, materials, facilities, tools, parts, services, applicable test, supervision and perform all work in strict accordance with the specification and schedules to overhaul and repair Air Force Vessel MR-65-2110. Work will include drydocking and launching, hull cleaning and painting, zinc anodes, propellers, propeller shafts, rudders, sea valves, sea chests, thru hull fittings, electrical inspection, replacement of exhaust system, main engines compression check, main engines back pressure check on exhaust, check air conditioner and heater, repair starboard and port stern rub rails, installation of depth finder and transducer, hand rail repair, co-2 system inspection, reupholster galley seats, and sea trials. All work will provide a complete and usable vessel3731 in accordance with the Statement of Work and specified in the schedules that are required to be purchased during the applicable performance period. The solicitation is SET ASIDE FOR EMERGING SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS under SIC 3731, size standard. The entire solicitation package including the statement of work shall be distributed electronically effective 31-Jul-98. Hard copies of the solicitation will NOT be provided. Any amendments resulting from this solicitation will also be posted on the AETC Contracting Homepage. Prospective offerors shall be responsible for checking the Homepage periodically for most current information pertaining to this solicitation. Performance time is not to exceed 60 days but the contractor may propose a shorter time. Issue date of the solicitation is 31-Jul-98. A pre-proposal site visit is scheduled for 19-Aug-98 at 0800. Quotes are due 29-Aug-98 at 1430 Central Standard Time. All dates are estimated.
