The 325th Contracting Squadron at Tyndall AFB FL intends to award a purchase order pursuant to FAR part 13 for the purchase of services as indicated below. Quotes are being requested. This solicitation is for a firm fixed price purchase order to provide Postal Service Center (PSC) operation in a Government furnished facility on Tyndall AFB Fl. The period of performance is: Basic Year 1 Oct 98 30 Sep 99, Option Year One, 1 Oct 99 30 Sept 2000, Option Year Two, 1 Oct 2000 30 Sept 2001. This is a 100% set-aside for small business concerns under the standard industrial classification code 7389; the size standard is annual income being less than $5 Million. The non-personal services required include but are not limited to all labor, equipment, materials and supervision needed to perform receiving, processing, distributing, and directorizing mail; managing receptacles; and providing customer service. All services shall be performed in accordance with the Performance Work Statement, the USPS Domestic Mail Manual and all applicable instructions and manuals. The Government will furnish facilities and equipment that includes a mail room and office space; office furniture; phone, and computer system. The Government intends to award a purchase order to the responsible offeror who represents the best value to the Government considering recent and relevant past performance and price. The solicitation package will be available approximately 27 Aug 98 and may be downloaded by accessing the AETC business opportunities-local large dollar services site at the following web address: http://www-contracting.aetc.af.mil. If access to the solicitation through the web site cannot be obtained, you may request in writing that a copy be provided at the site visit. A site visit is tentatively scheduled for 11 Sept 98 at 1000. Please contact this office in advance to confirm attendance and obtain directions. The closing date for receipt of quotations is 18 Sept 98 at 1500 CST. All dates are estimated. Prior to receiving any contract award, contractors must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (CCR) in accordance with DFAR clause 252.204-7004 REQUIRED CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION.
