Work includes but is not limited to removing and cleaning dirt and debris and existing loose paint from all required exterior surfaces on five hundred twelve (512) existing housing units in the Wherry Housing area. Required surfaces include, but are not limited to: wood doors and frames, miscellaneous wood trim, metal columns and trim, carport exposed wood framing, wood shutters, column bases, brick veneer walls, concrete foundation walls, and wood windows. Prefinished vinyl siding and trim products shall not be painted or refinished. Repair or replace rotted wood window sills on an as needed basis. This project will be issued unrestricted. SIC code 1721 and $7.0 million size standard. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. Performace period is 365 days after issuance of notice to proceed. Magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This solicitation will be issued via internet, listed under business opportunities, from the following internet site: (http://www.shaw.af.mil/20fw/20log/contracting/index.htm). Internet registration is required for this project. The solicitation and specifications will be in a Microsoft Word 6.0 format. The drawings will be in an AutoCad Internet Format (*.dwf). AutoCad whip driver software is required for viewing and printing of drawings. The solicitation will be available from the above referenced site for downloading and viewing on or about 17 Aug 98. Bid opening date will be on or about 16 Sep 98. Actual bid opening date will be referenced on the solicitation. No paper copies of the solicitation, specifications, drawings or bidders mailing list will be issued from this office. Amendments will be posted on the effected solicitation page.
