(415)604-4646 Correction: The purpose of this amendment is to correct
the URLs referenced under the combined synopsis/solicitation and to
respond to questions that have been submitted. The URLs are replaced as
follows: delete http://www.arc.nasa.gov/Acq and replace with

http://procure.arc.nasa.gov/Acq/ombudsman.html. The following are are
answers to questions that have been submitted. 1. In as much as
installation drawings and labor are a part of this procurement, what is
the architectual concept for the finished installation? For example,
are the 12 screens arrayed on a flat wall, around the viewers in a
partial or full circle, or in a 2X6 or 3X4 matrix? Are architect's
sketches available? Answer: Architect ural concept for screen and
projector layout are posted on the NASA/Ames home page. 2. Is signal
distribution and system programming to be considered and included in
the installation effort? What is the installation concept? Is there a
drawing illustrating the ''custom structural walls?'' Answer: Signal
distribution and system programming will be provided by the government
in a separate contract. Installation concept and ''custom structural
wall'' shall be provided by the contractor and coordinated with the
Government's General Contractor. 3. Is training, warranty and/or
maintenance required after initial installation and alignment? What are
the terms? Answer: Training, warranty and/or maintenance after initial
installation and alignment follow the Contractor's standard operating
procedures. Is an extension contemplated pending the responses to
these questions? Can this procurement be set aside for 8A bidding, or
is an 8A 10% bidding preference included in this procurement? Answer:
This procurement is full and open competition. 8A 10% bidding
preference does not apply to NASA. All other information publicized in
the original synopsis is correct. This procurement is being conducted
under the NASA Midrange Pilot Test Program approved by the Office of
Federal Procurement Policy on August 22, 1994. NASA-Ames Research
