Description
The Contracting Division, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC intends to obtain (if considered more economical) the services required to support Transportation Operations and Maintenance Department for Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC. This department provides managerial, administrative, supervisory, direct, and overhead personnel to accomplish all transportation operation and maintenance requirements. This duties include, but are not limited to the following services: dispatch, wrecker/roadside, bus, escort, key and lock, vehicle maintenance, and service inspections. Additional tasks include reporting requirements, tests, and certifications. This procurement is a result of a Commercial Activities (OMB Circular A-76) study for which 74 positions were announced to Congress in 2003. The proposed acquisition will be subject to Government in-house cost comparison to determi ne the economic feasibility of accomplishing services in-house with government civilian positions or by contract in accordance with the OMB Circular A-76. The resultant contract will be a firm-fixed price contract for a base period of one year, with 4 one-year option to extend periods; total duration not to exceed 5 years. The proposed solicitation will be conducted as a 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS (see numbered Note 1). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 561210 and the small business size standard is $6.0 million in average annual receipts for the last three years. A solicitation will be available for download, free of charge (via web sites: www.neco.navy.mil or www.fedbizopps.gov), on or about 19 May 2003. It is the responsibility of the offeror to continually view the website for any amendments to the solicitation. A Pre- proposal conference/site visit will be conducted prior to the solicitation closing date; time and date will be provided in the solicitation. INSTRUCTIONS TO INTERESTED PARTIES. Please notify this office of your interest in this procurement by sending an email to robinsonmn@lejeune.usmc.mil; include the following information: company name, address, point of contact with phone number and email address and type of business (small, woman-owned, 8(a), etc.) Contractors interested in doing business with the government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Lack of registration in the database on the part of an offeror will make an offeror ineligible for award. Offerors and contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling the CCR Regional assistance Center at 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at w ww.ccr.gov.
