- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation under solicitation M6700102Q0021. PRICING SCHEDULE: Basic Period 0001. Lease of one (1) bus/motorcoach for one year from date of delivery. First Option Period 0002. Renewal of lease of one (1) bus/motorcoach for 12 months. Second Option Period 0003. Renewal of lease of one (1) bus/motorcoach for 12 months. Each item to be priced with a monthly rate and annual amount. STATEMENT OF WORK C.1 OBJECTIVE AND SCOPE . The purpose of this solicitation is to lease a new contractor owned bus/motorcoach to be deli vered to Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC. The Contractor shall provide lease and warranty coverage for the duration of the contract period. C.2 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS. The features listed below are essential to the minimum needs of the Government. The bus/motorcoach must be new. Minimum seating capacity of 48 passengers. Automatic transmission. Air conditioning. Fabric seats. Lavatory with sink and commode (with drinking water dispenser if available). Video/VCR system. Antenna (for mobile telephone). Color preference: 1st choice ? white, 2nd choice ? red and white, 3rd choice ? red and gold. (Note: The Government desires specific colors. In order to speed delivery, the Government may accept a vendor?s/manufacturer?s on lot color if that color is considered to be appropriate by the Government. The Government desires delivery to be accomplished within 14 days a fter notification of contract award, but requires delivery no later than 60 days. FOB Site: Destination. C.3 SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS. The Contractor shall provide complete vehicle bumper-to-bumper coverage, including labor and parts costs for the duration of the contract. Needed repairs will be performed using new or remanufactured parts. Prior to delivery and acceptance by the Government, the contractor shall perform a final predelivery inspection and service which shall be in accordance with vehicle manufacturer?s specifications. Vehicles shall be free from defects, which may impair their serviceability or show any evidence of poor workmanship. Defective components shall not be furnished. At time of delivery vehicle shall meet all Federal and State Department of Transportation, and any other state inspection requirements. The Contractor shall be responsible for the i nitial state inspection sticker when the vehicle is delivered. CONTRACTUAL INFORMATION. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions/clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-07. The NAICS code is 53212 and the small business size standard is $21.5. The following clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors, Addenda to FAR 52.212-1 Period for Acceptance of Offers. The Government requires a minimum acceptance period of 120 calendar days. FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items (a) technical capability of the offeror to meet the requirements (b) past performance (c) price, FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions?Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders?Commercial Items. The offeror must submit a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 Offe ror Representations and Certifications with their proposals. DFARS 252.212-7001 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items. Proposals are due by 4:00 PM on 24 June 2002 to the Contracting Division, P. O. Box 8368, MCB, Camp Lejeune, NC 28547-8368. If submitted via Fed-Ex, the address is Contracting Division, Building 1116, Louis and Birch Streets, MCB, Camp Lejeune, 28547-8368.
