Description

Under the Statutory Authority of 38 USC 8154 and FAR Part 6.302, the VA Medical Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota, anticipates entering into a sole source negotiation with Twin Cities Health Professionals Education Consortium (TCHP) for continuing education and training of critical care nursing, psychiatry, and operating room staff. TCHP is a consortium of the Twin Cities three public teaching hospitals in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area, (Hennepin County, Regions, and the VA Medical Center) who are affiliated with the University of Minnesota Medical School. TCHP facilitates a wide range of activities among the three affiliated hospitals and develops consolidated programs to avoid duplication of efforts and enhance efficiency in health care services, education, and research. The Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from one source. The VA will conduct this procurement in accordance with FAR Part 15. The NAICS Code for this procurement 622110 is $25 Million for small business. Bid documents are not available. It is anticipated that this will be a five year contract, consisting of a base year with four 12-month options to renew. See Note 22.
