This announcement constitutes the only solicitation in which quotations are being requested. A written solicitation will not be issued. However, additional specifications are available for distribution upon request. Please contact Susan Patterson via e-mail or fax and request copies of specifications. Please note that telephone enquiries will not be accepted. Questions and/or requests must be submitted in written form. The closing date and time for receipt of quotations is: Friday, January 4, 2002, 4:00 p.m. local time, 2301 M Street, NW, Suite 400, Washington, DC 20037. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). RONCO Consulting Corporation is the implementer of the U.S. State Department Integrated Mine Action Support Project, Contract No. S-LMAQM-99-D-0144. The contract requires RONCO to provide technical and procurement assistance in the areas of demining training and procurement services. We currently have an on-going demining procurement service project in Thailand for this contract. We are requesting quotations for Demining Equipment. The objective of this procurement is to purchase the following commercial items: ITEM NO. 1 Thirty (30) Metal Mine Detectors, specifically designed to perform highly specialized humanitarian demining applications, with emphasis on ruggedness, durability, high sensitivity level, and be user friendly. Mine Detector must be battery operated w/no extending cables, compact, one-handed operation, high sensitivity level to objects with poor conductivity, interchangeable components, extension rod, and carrying case and bag. NOTES: 1) Contract award will be made to one (1) qualified vendor. 2) Desired Delivery Schedule: Immediately, but no later than January 31, 2002. 3) All quotations must be submitted in English and in U.S. Dollars. E-Mail or fax quotations are acceptable. 3) Suppliers wishing to participate in this procurement must notify RONCO via e-mail and/or fax for additional specifications, along with contact information advising of intention to participate in this procurement and to be placed on bidders list for future amendments and/or clarification answers to supplier questions. 4) Questions/Clarifications concerning this procurement must be submitted in writing via fax or e-mail, prior to Friday, December 28, 2001 @ 4:00 p.m. local time. Telephone enquiries will not be accepted. 5) All equipment proposed, must be new and unused. 6) Literature and descriptive information on all items proposed is requested. This solicitation document and following incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items, para(a) will be based on meeting terms and conditions of the RFQ, along with best value practices of the FAR. RONCO will award one (1) contract from this solicitation to the responsible offeror(s) whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price, and other factors considered, based on best value.
