Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment, Washington, DC intends to negotiate and award a Firm Fixed Price contract to Ovid Technologies, Inc. of Murray, UT for Ovid Online electronic journal services on the behalf of the Naval Medical Information Management Center (NMIMC), Bethesda, MD. Services include but are not limited to: 1) separate full text biomedical and nursing journal collections and databases; 2) simultaneous and unlimited usage for shore-based facilities and shipboard personnel; and 3) accessibility from all types of Composite Health Care System (CHCS) terminal users, both microcomputer and dumb terminals. This is a commercial item procurement and FAR Part 12 and FAR 13.5 procedures will be used for the requirement. The order will consist of a one year base period. A Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been prepared. SEE Note 22. The Federal Supply Code (FSC) for this requirement is. 7610. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 514191. A solicitation does not exist for this requirement. =20
