Description

The Coastal Systems Station, Dahlgren Division, NSWC, Panama City, Florida intends to award a purchase order to Mine Safety Appliances Company located at 121 Gamma Drive, Pittsburgh PA,15238. on a sole-source basis for 16 each, part number 812600, Self Contained Breathing Apparatus. This acquisition is not suitable for full and open competition because this is the only equipment that has been successfully qualified through extensive testing and approved by the Naval Diving and Salvage Authority. These items are the only items identified that provided the features and performance required for this application.
