Description

INDIGO SYSTEMS ALPHA NIR CAMERA SYSTEM (INCLUDES PORTABLE BSI COMPUTER), MODEL NUMBER 412.0027.00. The solicitation number is F33601-02-T-0014. The proposed contract is for commodity for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is Indigo Systems Corp., Santa Barbara CA. The government anticipates a sole source award to Indigo Systems Corp. because of compatibility issues. The detector system must be interfaced both physically and electronically with an existing spectrometer. The spectrometer is not capable of interfacing with any detector that is not manufactured by Indigo Systems Inc. Schematic circuit diagrams are not available because they are proprietary to Indigo Systems. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotations should be faxed to Helen Williams, 88 ABW/PKSB, 937-257-3926, no later than Thursday, 3 Jan 02. Only facsimile proposals sent to this number will be considered.
