Description

This is a sole source, combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, and the test program outlined in FAR 13.3, as well as supplemental information provided herein. This non-competitive action will be processed in accordance with FAR 6.301-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). The United States Patent and Trademark Office plans to issue this requirement as a firm fixed price purchase order utilizing simplified acquisition procedures, which will be awarded to AccuSoft Corporation, 71 Lyman Street, Northborough, MA. AccuSoft is the developer and sole provider of ImageGear 98 Active X (16/32) Pro Gold software utilized by the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office. The USPTO intends to award a purchase order to AccuSoft, which will redefine, correct and modify its site license as well as adjust pricing to align with the usage of the ImageGear software. The purchase order will incorporate a new site license agreement, which is now based on the number of locations where the software is utilized. The number of sites will be established at no more than 500 with unlimited users at each site for the ImageGear software. The total estimate for this procurement is approximately $137,000.00. This announcement constitutes the RFP and is the only solicitation that will be issued. A sole source proposal is being requested pursuant to this announcement and shall reference requisition number 192P0111111. This solicitation incorporates all of the applicable provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 97-27, as if stated in full text, as well as the terms and conditions of FAR 52.212-1. A proposal shall be delivered to the Patent and Trademark Office, Office of Procurement, 2011 Crystal Drive, CPK 1, Suite 810, Arlington, VA 22202, Attention: Ms. Joan Hanicak, no later than 2:00 PM (EST) on December 20, 2001.
