Description

USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service is announcing a project under the Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) Program for Delta County. This project consists of twenty sites located throughout the county. Work will consists of installing timber headwalls and rock riprap, placed on the sides of the road abutments, stabilizing the eroded slopes of the sides. Minor excavation and fill will be required to install the headwalls, prepare the areas for placement of the riprap, and remove sediment deposits. Some sites may include debris removal and/or clearing of some tress. The major items of work (estimated quantities) will be: 205 tons of rock riprap, 13,181 square feet of timber headwalls and Class A site preparation. Class A Site Preparation requires a combined volume not more than 200 cubic yards of required excavations and/or earthfill placement. NRCS will issue delivery orders for multiple sites based on firm fixed prices on the basic contract. Only one award will be made for the entity 20 sites. The first delivery order will be for two sites. The NAICS code is 234990. Performance period will be 109 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed date, approximately March 8, 2002. A 20% bid bond will be required. Performance and payment bonds of 100% each will be required of the contractor awarded this contract. This project is unrestricted and is not set-aside for small business concerns. Price range is from $500,000 to $1,000,000.
