- Description
- This project includes the construction of five new buildings and associated site improvements at Fort Campbell's Rail Head Facility. Two of the buildings, Joint Inspection or Operations are identical. The five new buildings are as follows: (1) Multi-Pur pose Building -- 335 M2. The building systems consist of concrete footings and foundation walls, concrete slab on grade, a pre-engineered metal building system, masonry and metal panel walls and a standing seam metal roof. (2) Operations or Joint Inspecti on Buildings -- 2 @ 131 M2. The building systems consist of concrete footings and foundation walls, concrete slab on grade, load bearing concrete masonry walls supporting fabricator-engineered light gage metal roof trusses and a standing seam metal roof. (3) Maintenance Building -- 506 M2. The building consists of 334 m2 of high bay truck maintenance space, 114 m2 of office space with a 152 m2 storage mezzanine above the office space. The building systems consist of concrete footings and foundation walls, concrete slab on grade, a pre-engineered metal building system, masonry and metal panel walls and standing seam metal roof. (4) Scale House -- 294 M2. The building systems consist of concrete footings and foundation walls, concrete slab on grade, a pre-e ngineered metal building system, masonry and metal panel walls and standing seam metal roof. The estimated total value is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The Solicitation will be issued on or about 21 Jan 2002. Proposals will be due on or about 21 Feb 2002, 1:30 p.m. local time. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 233320 (size standard $27.5 mil). THIS PROJECT IS 8(A) COMPETITIVE and is limited to contractors certified in REGION 4 which include the states of AL, FL, GA, K Y, MS, NC, SC and TN. There are four options included in the solicitation (site perimeter fencing, scale house building, revise walls from metal siding to masonry (this applies to Maintenance Building and Multi-Purpose Building) and operable partition in the Multi-Purpose Building. There is no charge for the solicitation. The project is available on compact disk only. Project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. The drawing files are in CAL format and can be viewed, navigated or printed using Source View Reader. Both readers are contained in the solicitation package. Minimum system requirements are: 486 based personal computer, Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater, 8 MB application RAM, 4 MB hard disk space and compact disk drive.
