Description
The Headquarters, Air Force Services Agency (HQ AFSVA),is seeking information on a Management Information System (MIS) to meet the needs of a range community and recreation programs. The types of programs include youth activities, child development centers, fitness and sports centers, outdoor recreation programs, equipment rental, bowling centers, golf courses, marketing, family day care, before and after school programs, information-tickets-travel, arts and crafts centers, auto hobby shops, community centers, swimming pools, and RV storage and campgrounds. These programs requires a system to handle functions which include, but are not limited to, activity registration, instructions and volunteer management, campsite reservations and check in/out, locker and storage management, equipment checkout, equipment and parts inventory management, facility and court reservations, equipment and facility maintenance management, retail sales management including small scale food and beverage operations, customer records including medical and immunization data, facility and program membership and access control, league and tournament management, ticket sales and trip/tour bookings, tee time reservations, average/handicap calculations, and related program management functions. The systems must run under common commercial operating systems in stand-alone, and network environments. Multiple architectures may be considered including "fat" client and "thin" client-server configurations. The supported Services activities must share common data elements(customer information, facility and equipment schedules, etc.) across the entire system. Customer self-serve functions (reservations, updated of household data, payments, etc.) via touch-tone telephones and web-based routines should be available. The system should be able to import and export data for use by other Air Force data systems (e.g accounting)through user-initiated routines or "live" interfaces. Data entry/capture methods include standard and programmable keyboards; touch screen, barcode and magnetic stripe reader. The system must support common peripherals to include electronic cash drawers, pole displays, hand-held inventory taking units, and multiple print devices. This Request For Information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request For Proposal (RFP)or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any follow-on acquisitions. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this RFI and Government use of such information. To respond, furnish descriptive literature or other data to the AFNAF Purchasing Office, 9504 IH 35 North, Suite 370 San Antonio, TX 78233, no later than 14 Jan 02. No response will be forthcoming to the respondents of this notice. Responding vendors may be asked to provide additional information including price lists or invited to demonstrate their systems capabilities.
