Description

The NAVAL OCEANOGRAPHIC OFFICE intends to solicit and award, on an other than full and open competitive (sole source) basis, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, a purchase order to Prosource. The purchase order is for 10 each, 200 watt ARC lamp ballast for TOSS television lights. These ballast, once purchased and received, are extensively modified to meet t he form, fit, and function of the TOSS pressure housings. Other ballast of this type is larger and does not perform the sam e functions as the existing ballast. The OEM of this ballast no longer manufactures this type. Any future requirements wi ll require the entire power system of TOSS to be redesigned. This synopsis is for informational purpposes only and is not a request for competitive offers.
