Description

Notice of availability of a prospectus for the award of a concession contract authorizing ferry boat transportation service for the visiting public of the Fort Sumter National Monument for a period of ten years. The approximate visitation to Fort Sumter National Monument was 238,000 in 2000. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR, Part 51, has determined that this is not a qualified concession contract, based on the fact that the business is estimated to result in annual gross receipts greater than $500,000 in the first 12 months of its term. No preferred offeror for this contract exists. All interested parties may apply and all responsive proposals will be considered. Offers must be received by close of business March 13, 2002. There will an administrative charge to recoup printing costs for this prospectus of $30 plus a $5 mailing fee for each prospectus. Make checks payable to the National Park Service. Include a business address (not post office box) and telephone number to receive the package via Federal Express. All requests for prospectuses should be made in writing to Henry C.
