- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), Ashland, Kentucky, intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price, Requirements type contract with a single twelve (12) month base period and four (4) option periods of twelve (12) months each. The contractor must supply the services in accordance with this Request for Quotation (RFQ). Completing all x-ray studies as ordered by the medical staff and that assuring that all requisitions are completed properly. Preparing x-rays for shipment to the radiologist for interpretation. Assuring that all x-rays and reports that are received back from the radiologist are reviewed by the Clinical Director. Completing and filing of all x-ray reports in both the medical record and the x-ray file. Assisting the Health Service Administrator (HSA) by ensuring appropriate inspection schedules, maintenance of equipment and supplies and notifying the HSA or designee when supplies are needed. Provide in-service and competency training to the Health Services staff as required, ensuring competency to perform x-ray procedures. Maintain the Dosimetry program according to community standards, national policy and contractual agreement. Complete all x-ray studies as ordered by the medical staff and ensure that all requisitions are completed according to policy. Maintaining current CPR certification and providing verification of the same. Assist in providing Improving Organizational Performance data through maintenance of appropriate daily x-ray logs, monitoring aspects of the program as indicated to ensure quality patient care performance. Establish and maintain an approved silver reclamation program/recycling requirements within Federal/State guidelines. Assist the departmental staff with healthcare delivery by assisting with patient flow needs, monitoring clinic patient schedules, answering/ transferring telephone calls and performing typical office/clerical duties. The work schedule shall not exceed 30 hours per week. A session is defined as 1 hour. The weekly schedule will normally consist of five (5), six (6) hour sessions per week, Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays). Usage will depend on the need of the institution. These services may be provided on an as needed basis, the contractor subject to a call for service from FCI, Ashland, KY. This is a non-personal services contract and not a personnel appointment. The solicitation is 100% set aside for small business. Contract period will include a base year and 4 (four) option years, no to exceed 12 months each. Sessions are not to exceed 1560 in a one year period.
