Description

The National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) intends to award a sole source procurement to Airlie Foundation, Warrenton, VA. NIMA has a requirement for a full service conference facility for approximately 75 people to support the annual meeting of the Agency Technical Representatives on 19-24 May 2002. The facility must include a general session conference room, four break rooms, on-site audio-visual equipment and supplies, conference business service support and supplies, on-site conference planner, on-site lodging (single occupancy rooms with private bath), food service (3 meals per day), and extra circular activities (i.e. game room, swimming pool, exercise room). The site must be located within approximately one hour driving time to Ft. Belvoir, Virginia and within approximately one hour driving time to Bethesda, Maryland to permit attendees and other Agency personnel to travel between the three locations and must provide an environment that is conducive to team building and learning. The site must also provide for a conference room and break out rooms that allow for discussion up to the Secret Level. Airlie Foundation is the only known source that could meet all the facility requirements. This is a synopsis of intent to award a firm fixed price contract under FAR Part 12 -- Commercial Items. The authority for sole source procurement is FAR 6.302-1(a), 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Responsible sources that are interested in this procurement may respond by providing clear and convincing information that identifies their ability to provide the service.
