Description

The previous announcement is modified as follows: The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia intends to solicit engineering and technical services to support Naval Ship Systems and Survivability Programs. The contractor shall furnish engineering, technical analysis and support services for DDG-51 Flight IIA and other Surface Combatant ships and program initiatives. Contractor shall perform survivability assessments of new ship designs/upgrades and shipboard equipments as well as provide program support related to Live Firde Test & Evaluation. Contractor shall also provide engineering support in the development of automatic/autonomic control algorithms to support creation and implementation of survivable, self-healing, reconfigurable shipboard systems, This shall be solicited on a competitive bases as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The government i ntends to award an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity, Cost Plus Fixed Fee type contract with a legvel of effort of 146,350 labor hours. The period of performance is 60 months. ALL PREVIOUS REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL BE HONORED AND INTERESTED SOURCES NEED NOT APPLY AGAIN. SOLICITATION SHALL BE ISSUED BY 17 DECEMBER 2001.
