Description

The Federal Highway Administration on behalf of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration plans to make award to Aegis Information Systems (AIS) to provide support and maintenance to the National Hazardous Material Route Registry (NHMRR). AIS will be responsible for maintaining the route registry and HNMRR website. The will also provide liaison with State routing agencies. AIS is considered a Hazardous Material GIS routing expert and has provided competent expert service to the Department of Transportation over the past seven years in the capacities of NHMRR architect and administer. Having designed, coded, and launched the route registry, AIS is intimate with the details of its operation and are uniquely qualified to implement the proposed changes to the system. Therefore, AIS is the only known source qualified to provide the services required.
