Description

The University of California, which operates Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) under contract to the U.S. Department of Energy, solicits Letters of Interest from companies interested in collaborating with LANL scientists to develop and sell a commercial version of a prototype system for monitoring nuclear material. This prototype, which has been field tested, measures the characteristics of sensitive materials without revealing sensitive information, and measures these materials in a manner that allows the monitoring party to fully authenticate operation of the system. Any company interested in this opportunity must respond with a Letter of Interest that provides a description of the company's motivation for pursuing this opportunity. Respondents are encouraged to provide additional documentation such as annual reports, corporate resumes, and technical publications.
