Description

The United States Department of Agriculture intends to modify Contract 53-3142-9-1020 with Compuware Corporation, 31440 Northwestern Highway, Farmington Hills, MI, to extend the contract period and add a product. The USDA possesses perpetual licenses to use Compuware software installed at the USDA National Information Technology Center in Kansas City, MO. The period of performance of USDA's current contract with Compuware runs through 9/30/2003. The USDA intends to extend the contract to continue technical support for the proprietary Compuware software for an additional 36 months, through 9/30.2006. USDA has perpetual licenses for the following Compuware products: FILE-AID; ABEND-AID; PATHVU; and RETROFIT. The USDA also intends to add the Compuware STROBE product suite. Negotiations will be conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Source that meets the needs of the agency. No solicitation document exists and requests for copies of a solicitation will be ignored. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. All responses to this notice must be in writing and received by the issuing office no later than December 26, 2001.
