Description

NASA/GRC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for NGA 2000 Series Platform, O2 analyzer,CO analyzer, CO2 analyzer, NGA 2000 power supply, and NGA 2000 cord -- Rosemount Analytical or equal. A specification sheet is attached and may be accessed with Adobe Acrobat. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from Rosemount Analytical. NASA FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) Rosemount is the only source that can fit into the existing gas bench sytems. NASA Glenn has standardized the systems of 8 different on-site facilities. The Rosemount analyzers must be able to be swapped with other analyzers during a run. All overall dimensions, mechanical connections and electrical wiring shall be identical to what is currently in the system. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on 12-20-01. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
