- Description
- NOTICE OF INTENT. USCS has acquired several types of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) Vehicle and Cargo Inspection Systems (VACIS). Since SAIC designed, developed and fabricated all the Gamma ray systems which operate on SAIC developed software for which SAIC owns all data rights, no other party can provide the necessary maintenance services. SAIC has exclusive services warranties still in effect on many of the currently deployed systems and future deliveries, which would be jeopardized if another vendor were allowed to maintain and service the VACIS systems. The requirement shall be processed under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source. The intended vendor is SAIC, 16701 West Bernardo Drive, San Diego, CA 92127. This notice of intent is not a solicitation for competitive proposals. No telephone inquiries. See numbered Note 22.
