Description
The U.S. Special Operations Command anticipates contracting with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, 6900 Main Street, P.O. Box 9729, Stratford, CT 06615-9129, on an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, for installation and testing of the Navy Seahawk Advanced Flight Control Computer (AFCC) altitude hold system into 1 prototype MH-60L aircraft. The system must be successfully tested and qualified at bench, system and flight-test levels. In addition the government intends to acquire a maximum of 37 each Altitude Hold Component Kits. The proposed action is for service/supplies for which the Government does not own specifications and drawing to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302 ?1. Firms that recognize and can provided the effort are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal, however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date (IAW FAR 5.203 (a)). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The estimated release date of the solicitation is December 21, 2001. The solicitation will be available via EDI in the Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPPS), website: http://www2.eps.gov, however; Foreign Firms must request a copy of the solicitation through their embassy.
