Description

Offeror will have full responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the refuse disposal system. Annual disposal amount is estimated at 525 tons of Class II refuse and 25 tons of Class III construction debris delivered by the National Park Service to the Contractors disposal site. Disposal site shall be open as follows: May 1 through Oct. 31, 7 days per week, Monday through Saturday 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; and Nov. 1 through April 30, 2 days per week, Wed. and Sat. 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Contract will be awarded for one base year April 1, 2002 to Sept. 30, 2002 with four (4) option years. The period of each option year will be Oct. 1 through Sept. 30 of the following year. Offeror will prepare a price and technical proposal; technical evaluation will have greater importance than price. The technical evaluation factors are 1) method, 2) facilities and equipment, 3) compliance with all laws and regulations, 4) past performance, and 5) prior experience. The price evaluation factors are: 1) tipping fees, 2) transportation costs, and 3) equipment costs. All responsible sources may submit proposals, which will be considered by the evaluation team.
