Description

Within the next 60 days, the National Park Service (NPS) intends to issue a prospectus inviting proposals to operate the principal park concession at Denali National Park & Preserve, Alaska. The contract that will result will authorize the concessioner to provide bus tours, bus transportation, camper services (Riley Creek Mercantile and two campgrounds), as well as services at a planned Visitor Center (food, gifts & convenience items), and Denali Science and Learning Center (hostelry and food). The term of the contract is propsoed to be approximately 10 years, expiring on December 31, 2012. This is a summer seasonal operation with recent (2000) annual gross revenue of $13.1. million.
