Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, and FAR 13.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, USZA99-02-Q-0042, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97012. This procurement is unrestricted. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. CLIN 0001: Replacement parts for Parachutist?s High Altitude Oxygen Supply System (PHAOS) Mask as follows: Part #603402-1X, Regular Hardshell (w/commo) Quantity 50 EA; Part #603305-0X, Overshell Quantity 50 EA; Part #601020-0, Identification Plate Quantity 50 EA; Part #603403-0, Retainer, Microphone Quantity 50 EA; Part #601070-2X, Screw, Socket Quantity 25 EA; Part #601057-0X, Nut, Hex Quantity 25 EA The PHAOS Mask is a low profile, lightweight mask which incorporates a diluter/demand regulator, auto shut off, dilution aneroid, exhalation valve and male bayonet fittings. The mask eliminates hoses and connectors on front torso providing the parachutist with a ?clean front? thus improving vision and mobility. Mask mounted dilution port and exhalation valve allows user to breathe comfortable throughout total descent, even after all oxygen is consumed. Provides facial protection. CLIN 0002: Replacement parts for Parachutist?s High Altitude Oxygen Supply System (PHAOS) Oxygen Supply as follows: Part #603051-0X, Pressure Gauge Quantity 30 EA; Part #603053-0X, Relief Valve Quantity 30 EA;=20 Part #603057-0X, Inlet Fitting Checking Valve Quantity 30 EA; Part #603073-0X, Washer, Thrust Quantity 30 EA; Part #603068-0X, Spring, Helical Quantity 30 EA; Part #603075-0X Seat Quantity=20 30 EA; Part #603076-0X, Stem, Valve Quantity 30 EA; Part #603077-0X, Spring, Seat Quantity 30 EA; The PHAOS individual oxygen supply manifolds a reducer, on/off valve, relief valve, gauge, fill valve, oxygen console connection, bottle(s) and hose assembly. Reducer provides strict control of the oxygen supply. The on/off valve is human engineered for parachutist?s safety. Must be turned to the on position before connection to the prebreathing oxygen console. When disconnected individual oxygen supply automatically flows. Hose assembly includes a quick disconnect fitting. CLIN 0003: Replacement parts for Parachutist?s High Altitude Oxygen Supply System Diluter/Demand Manifold Housing Assembly as follows: Part #603351-0, Housing, Regulator Quantity 25 EA Solicitation Provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commerical Items (Oct 2000) is hereby incorporated by reference. Solicitation Provision FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items (Jan 1999) is hereby incorporated, the evaluation factors are technical, price, and past performance. The government will make a determination of best value based on the evaluation factors cited. Contractors are reminded to submit a complete copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items with their quote, if readily available. If not, the clause will be forward for completion prior to award (Oct 2000). Clause 52.212-4, Contract terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items (May 1999) is hereby incorporated by reference.
