Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N00164-02-Q-0048 applies and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The Government intends to negotiate with only one source, Brandt Electronics, 1365 Vander Way, San Jose, CA 95112 in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 (a) (2) (ii). The Government does not possess complete specification/drawings to allow for adequate competition. Brandt Electronics is the original equipment manufacturer and is in possession of all required specifications/drawings, this power supply is the only one that will interface w/AN/ALQ-184 TWT to a solid state device. This equipment must integrate with the existing system in terms of form, fit, function and compatibility. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-01 and DCN 2001101. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 335311 and the business size standard is 750 employees. This requirement is as follows: CLIN 0001 -. Qty 62 ea. Power Supply P/N: PS1285A. Delivery is required F.O.B. Destination to Crane, IN 47522 within 150 days after award. Final inspection and acceptance will be at NSWC CRANE. Quotes that are non-compliant with any material requirements of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. All responsible sources may submit a quote that will be considered by the Agency. A Firm-Fixed Price purchase order will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. . The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government.
