Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Roseburg Healthcare System, Roseburg, Oregon, intends to negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302 with the American Red Cross Biomedical Services, Pacific Northwest Region, 3131 N. Vancouver Avenue, Portland, OR 97227, for human blood and blood components. Contract will cover the period of January 1, 2002 through December 31, 2002. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, based upon the response to this notice, is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responses must be submitted to the Contracting Officer at the above address no later than 4:00 p.m. on 12/27/01. NAICS Code 621991 applies.
