Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to award on a sole source basis a contract for additional sediment sampling and biological analytical services for Aqua Survey. Inc. of Flemington, New Jersey for continued work in and around New York, New Jersey Harbor under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (a) (2). This contract is for a period of not to exceed one year or a ceiling of $250,000 whichever occurs first. Interested firms must be EPA approved if interested. Aqua Survey is currently approved by EPA Region 2 to perform the testing. It is impractical to award to another firm due to the need for EPA Region 2 approval and the associated delay of obtaining such approval from another firm. This delay would result in the inability to conduct sampling and testing of maintenance and new work projects and would delay all dredging project for the district. See Note 22.
