Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, Newport, Rhode Island, intends to procure the below listed items from Wind River Systems, 70 Walnut Street, Wellesley, Massachusetts, on a sole-source basis in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) Only One Responsible Source and Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13 -- Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Part 12 -- Acquisition of Commercial Items. The reason for the sole source is that Wind River Systems is the only known source for these items because they are the manufacturer of these items and these items are needed to be compatible with other systems. We will issue an ?M? type Supply Purchase Order that includes Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Provisions. This is 100% set-aside for small business. NAICS Code is 334119; size standard is 1,000 Employees. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following items: CLIN 0001 Quantity (QTY) 1 Each, VxWorks OEM License Motorola/IBM PowerPC 7xxx CLIN 0002 QTY 1 Each, Tornado Professional Windows NT/PowerPC MPC74xx CLIN 0003 QTY 3 Each, VxWorks Target Licenses (W/Labels) Required delivery is 30 days after award, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Telephone requests will not be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed acquisition based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
